"A Metal Detectorist Showcases Lancashire History" - Nigel Law.
Nigel will give a brief talk about metal detecting, including a few anecdotes, and then he will look at our local and national history via coins and artefacts that he has found in our local area. He will begin with the modern age and go back through the Georgian, Medieval, Early Medieval periods including Saxon/Vikings, then Romans and Celts. Nigel hopes that it will be interesting for us to actually see such things as a Henry VIII coin.
