Pat in Patagonia - Mrs Pat Ashcroft World Adventurer
November sees the very welcome return of the amazing Mrs Ashcroft, a pensioner, who last year regaled us with her dog-sledding adventure in the Antarctic. This month we will hear about Pat's equally interesting and strenuous adventure in Patagonia. The destination was the Chebut Valley, colonised by Welsh people in the early 19th Century and still Welsh speaking. This challenge, again in aid of Pat's Mencap charity, involved climbing, trekking, crossing rivers, ice-fields and camping in snow and blizzards. Mrs Ashcroft is second to none as a teller of tales - be prepared to be amused and amazed.
