A reminder that u3a members can join a wide range of online talks, workshops and courses for free.

Some are presented by members, sharing their knowledge or skills with others across the movement. There is also a wide range of talks on offer from well-known speakers and organisations.

A very well-organised system, with a reminder, is operated for the u3a nationally by Eventbrite. An events newsletter will be sent out monthly, via email, with a booking link to join the event of choice.

Follow the link below for details of how to sign up for an email reminder and enjoy a wide variety of events, most lasting no more than one hour.

There is a list of links on their page for past events newsletters and the current events.

If you are interested in different aspects of u3a, possibly with a view to volunteering in an area, check out the u3a workshops.

The Third Age Trust has developed workshops in partnership with u3a members to provide support, information and advice for all u3a members. The workshops are delivered online using Zoom by Trust volunteers who bring their experience as Trustees, u3a Chairs and Committee members. And they are free.

Are you thinking of doing a presentation to one of our u3a groups, face-to-face or online but feeling a little uncertain about how to go about it?

Would you like to have a go but the idea of delivering to an audience puts you off?

Or perhaps you hesitate because you don't feel you can set up a display or a slide show presentation?

Are you not sure how to get source material for presentations?

We are planning small group/individual workshops in an informal setting. You will be able to develop your topic, put together a presentation and practise it with hints, tips and advice given on delivering your talk.

If you would like to know more, contact Newslink Editor or speak to your group leader and ask them to pass on your details. There will also be leaflets available at Monthly Meetings
