Do you enjoy a good Whodunit?

The Crime Book Group was set up online during lockdown and has continued to flourish via Zoom. Each month a member choses a book for the group to read and prepares a short introduction to it.

We’ve read a wide selection of books ranging from classic American authors like Harlan Coban; Scandi noir like Henning Mankell; historical like CJ Sansom; classic British authors like PD James and Val McDermid through to newly published and self published authors like Paul Teague.

Sometimes we choose a prolific author like Anne Cleeves and each read a different book. We have also read books in translation like Donna Leon. The choice is up to the group.

Because we meet online, there is no limit to the number of members.

Come and join us and see if you can work the answer out before you finish reading the book!

  • 10 June: Black Nab by Ely North
  • 9 September: The Coroner by Matthew Hall
  • 14 October: Date with Death by Julia Chapman
  • 11 November: Play Dead by Harlen Coban
  • 9 December: The Clues in the Fjord by Satu Ramo

We don't meet online during July and August but meet in a park for a face to face meeting and a chance to exchange books.

For joining details, contact the Group Leader via the Members Portal.
