The objective is to encourage discussion of matters of general interest or controversy found by members in the press or other media.
Members bring along topics of current interest for discussion. Topics may have been in the recent newspapers and could include reviews of new books or of opening exhibitions that might be worthy of a discussion.
Some topics will need quite a long introduction and may be arranged for a future meeting but others are of more immediate interest and have many of the group anxious to participate in the conversation.
