Are you concerned about the environment and what is happening to the natural world? Is there anything we can do about it?
This group will consider various aspects of the environment and how we are affecting it.
There are presentations, film clips, talks by visiting speakers from a variety of places: Heysham Power Station, Lune Valley Rivers Trust, Morecambe Bay Partnership, Lancaster City Council...
We have covered such topics as the environmental costs of death and dying, waste and recycling, food and growing. There are also opportunities for discussion in the sessions.
There are occasional visits to places of interest.
Potential future areas to explore will be buildings and energy, textiles and transport as well as the COP Summits.
Contact the Group Leader for more details.
