This group arranges informal presentations on a variety of topics of historical interest, both local and general.
Recent talks have been on the Flax and the Linen Industry in the North West; the Jacobite Rebellions; By Ice Breaker to Antarctica; Pirates!; John Ruskin. and Lancaster Museum at 100 years. A very varied mix!
All members of Lancaster and Morecambe u3a are welcome to join in the group activities and a typical attendance is between 40 and 60 people.
We have a meeting each month, except in August when there is a coach trip, and in December when we have no meeting due to proximity to Christmas.
Disabled parking at rear and limited ordinary parking; wheelchair accessible. Bus: number 11 from Bus Station, number 4 from University via Infirmary.
Limited car parking behind Quaker Meeting House. Accessible from the car park but there are steps at the front gate. Please take care when entering and exiting the car park both on foot and by car.
