The group plays from "The Recorder Book" by Steve Rosenberg and music written by our group leader. We also take part in our local u3a concerts as well as joining with other u3a recorder groups for playdays. Several times a year we go out into the community and entertain residents in local care homes.
If you wish to play a descant, Aulos descants are very good indeed. Players of treble, tenor and bass recorders especially welcome in both groups.
A notebook and music stand are useful. Please contact the group leader via the Members Portal for more information.
There is also a Recorders for Beginners Group for complete beginners.
Disabled parking at rear and limited ordinary parking; wheelchair accessible. Rooms 3 and 4 upstairs - chair lift available.
Bus: number 11 from Bus Station, number 4 from University via Infirmary.
Limited car parking behind Quaker Meeting House. Accessible from the car park but there are steps at the front gate. Please take extra care when entering and exiting the car park both on foot and by car. The access is very narrow.
