Members were treated to a wonderful concert given by the Ukulele and Acoustic Music Groups.
The Acoustic Music Group began the concert by taking it in turns to sing a variety of songs, some accompanied by the guitar and some unaccompanied. We also enjoyed a blues song played on the violin sounding like a very realistic train!
One of the highlights was the performance of a song written by a member inspired by the motorbike cavalcade which had accompanied Dave Myers, one of the Hairy Bikers, all the way to his resting place in Barrow. It was very moving and beautifully sung.
The Ukulele Group then played a selection of songs - a real trip down memory lane!
A new member commented that she had no idea what to expect and was amazed at the talent that was on display.
