Our Recorder Groups welcomed players from West Lakes u3a Recorder Group for another Playday. They played a variety of music, some arranged by the group leader and were ably conducted by Julie and Marilyn, Chair of West Lakes. Julie brought some 16th century music: madrigals (the 16th century equivalent of pop music) and motets (church music). Marilyn brought pieces representing different parts of the British Isles.
They had instruments from descant to contrabass (in order: descant, treble, tenor, bass, great bass and contrabass). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day of music making.

L&M u3a have two recorder groups and would love to have some more members joining the Recorders: Beginners Group.
