I would just like to express my thanks to Judith Brown for a wonderful trip to Bridgewater Gardens on Tuesday 9th September. The weather gods were smiling down on us as the day was sunny and bright.
The trip was very well organised and ran very smoothly - all down to Judith. We left Carnforth promptly and everyone was at their pick up points. There was very little traffic and arrived at Bridgewater in good time.
We were made welcome by a host from Bridgewater who gave us maps and details of the days events.
The gardens were looking well with plenty of interest, colour and fruits. There was lots of seating for those wanting to take a rest. Although it felt busy at the entrance it didn't feel busy as you walked around.
The photo with members was taken on a group tour by one of the RHS staff which was very interesting. We were glad of a cup of tea and a sit down at the end.
Everyone I spoke to had enjoyed their day. The return journey was just as smooth and back in Lancaster in good time. So thanks to Judith for organising a group of 64 on their away day.
