We enjoyed a wonderful trip to Liverpool with Travellers Choice coach driver Mark. As soon as we arrived, we made our way to the lively Albert Dock, where we were warmly welcomed by our lovely guide, Margo, who showed us around the city.
Beatles sculpture, Liverpool by Rudi Winter

Our first stop was the Beatles statue on the dock, where we gathered and took photos. Back on the coach, we took in more of Liverpool’s famous sights, including the Liver Birds, Bertie and Bella, standing proudly atop the Liver Building looking out over the city and sea. We also visited Liverpool Central Library, a truly impressive building.
After the tour, there was time for lunch, a little shopping, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out and one I am sure our u3a members would warmly recommend.
Many thanks to Ann for organising it
