The Signs of The Zodiac – Philip Heaton

The large turnout for this month’s talk suggested a keen interest in the subject of Astrology, and members certainly gained a wealth of information from Philip’s presentation with lovely accompanying slides.

Through his illustrations Philip showed how Astrology is many thousands of years old, with ancient civilisations around the world showing evidence of its study and application in their belief systems and societies.

From a description of the symbolic reference of each of the ‘star signs’ (explained by Philip as more accurately ‘sun signs’) we were given a portrayal of the inherent characteristics of those born within the assigned dates and the ways in which this is manifested in daily life and relationships.

Members undoubtedly left the meeting intrigued, and in many cases surprised by the extent of information relating to the whole field of Astrology, a topic presented with great enthusiasm and flair by Philip and much appreciated by his audience.
