The Acoustic/Folk group is for people who want to sing, play and enjoy folk music – very broadly interpreted.
This includes quite a variety of styles, including more recent songs, blues and traditional instrumental folk music.
We usually take turns to sing or play going round the room, and are keen that we make more music together and collaborate in groups of two or three. We are always keen to widen our range.

We play a wide variety of instruments – guitar, ukulele, fiddle, tin whistle, mandolin, melodion and
cajon, and some of us simply sing. You don’t need to be able to read music or to be experienced.
New members are welcome – there’s no limit on numbers.
Disabled parking at rear and limited ordinary parking; wheelchair accessible. Bus: number 11 from Bus Station, number 4 from University via Infirmary.
Limited car parking behind Quaker Meeting House. Accessible from the car park but there are steps at the front gate. Please take extra care when entering and exiting the car park both on foot and by car. The access is very narrow.
