This is a new group for instrumentalists wanting to play music from pre 1750 i.e. music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras. The focus will be on learning more about this wonderful music and it's interpretation and as such, the group will not be suitable for beginner musicians.
It is envisaged that the group will mainly be made up of recorder and strings players, but any appropriate period instrument would be welcome if tuned to A= 440.
Members will need to have their own instrument, which they can already play, and music stand. As well as this they will need the ability to sight-read music and to print and/or purchase music for their own use.
