L&M u3a Walking Football Group held their first tournament in superb weather at Heysham Mossgate.
They played teams from Penrith and Morecambe Walking Football clubs. Morecambe won, but our whole team acquitted themselves extremely well. L&M u3a are in the blue t shirts.
Each player and many of the supporters were given a commemorative medal and it is hoped that this tournament will become a regular event.
L&M were the only ones to field a mixed team and Chris is keen to encourage ladies to join the group.
A great afternoon of fun, friendship, entertainment and exercise – at least on the part of the players!
